Women Who Build is our ongoing series celebrating the incredible female creators in our community — artists who use LEGO® as their medium to tell stories, spark imagination, and share pieces of their world. Each week, we highlight a new builder whose work inspires connection, creativity, and joy.
This week, we’re proud to feature Sarah Hampton, a builder who finds both peace and purpose in her craft — especially when life gets hectic. Her current display is a stunning mosaic portrait of her beloved orange tabby cat, Fred, built entirely from LEGO® bricks.
“I build to let my brain rest,” she shared. “I love tricky LEGO® math — figuring out how to make things connect that shouldn’t. My favorite themes are fantasy and Harry Potter, but honestly… it’s all about the cats.”
For Sarah, LEGO® is equal parts therapy and artistry — a calming reset, a creative challenge, and a beautiful expression of precision.
✨ You can see Sarah’s mosaic of Fred on display at Bricks & Minifigs Littleton now through January as part of our Women Who Build Showcase.
