Happy #throwbackthursday everyone! This week, check out set 9474 The Battle of Helm’s Deep.
This set commemorates a pivotal battle in the War of the Ring. In this battle, the Fellowship of the Ring and Rohan’s army defended Helm’s Deep Fortress against the army of Saruman. Later in the battle, Gandalf arrived with reinforcements, turning the tide in the heroes’ favor.
This set features Modular castle sections, an exploding wall (for Saruman’s army to breech), a catapult, and a hidden door. It also features 8 Minifigs, 4 from each side of the battle.
Set 9474 was released in 2012 and retailed for just $129.99. Today, a sealed version can be found for $650, but can also sell for up to $800!
