We’re doubly excited about this week’s #throwbackthursday feature. It’s set 4537 Octan Twin Tank Rail Tanker!
This set is part of the LEGO City Trains theme, and it is compatible with the 9V train sets. It features a railroad car with twin tanks, an Octan truck, and a pallet with fuel barrels. It also features one minifigure, an Octan worker in uniform.
Set 4537 was released in 1993, and it retailed for just $22.99! Today, sealed versions of these sets are rare, and they can be worth over $300!

One of our favorite events of the year is back! The FREE Summer Math program at Bricks & Minifigs Metro East is one way we can invest in families and inspire kids to love learning!
Using LEGO pieces and hands-on activities, kids who have just completed Kindergarten through 6th grade can practice important math skills - with LEGO!
📅 June 8th – 11th is our first session of the summer.
🧱 Complete a Place Value challenge and earn a small prize.
🎟️ Each completed session earns an entry into our end-of-summer gift card drawing.
☀️ We`ll have five different challenges throughout the summer, so kids can keep learning and earning all season long.
We hope you`ll stop by and join us!

We HAVE to feature this fig for #minifigmonday because we know she won’t be here long. It’s Queen Amidala!
Queen Amidala is a character from the Star Wars prequel trilogy and the Clone Wars series, though she does not retain the title of Queen, nor wear the throne room gown, long.
Queen Amidala, the minifigure, depicts her throne room attire, which is seen in The Phantom Menace. This version of Amidala was exclusive to set 9499 Gungan Sub, in which three of four minifigures were exclusive, including Amidala.
When the set was released in 2012, it retailed for a paltry $69.99. Today, Amidala, by herself, often sells for over $300!

Graduate features unique pieces, including a cloth graduation robe, a mortarboard and tassel, and a printed diploma! He also features a bright smile that reflects his thrill at his accomplishment!
Graduate was part of CMF Series 5, which was released in 2011. He retailed for just $2.99, but today, he’s worth $30-$50, which just shows how much an education can appreciate over time!
