Fun local-ish fossil fact: New York’s state fossil is Eurypterus remipes, a prehistoric sea scorpion that lived about 420 million years ...ago. Not technically a dinosaur, but still very cool, very ancient, and definitely giving “do not step on this barefoot” energy.
