Here at Bricks & Minifigs®, every inch of our store shows how much we love LEGO products. It’s what we’re built on, and it’s what continues to bring in LEGO fans just like you. And since February is all about giving love, we thought we’d give a little more to some of our “pre-loved” sets!

This month many local stores are offering special promotions on all “pre-loved sets.” (Also known as used sets. But we think “pre-loved” sounds a bit more fun, don’t you?) Selection changes often, so each visit brings a chance to find something new that’s just right for you.

The certification of used sets is unique to Bricks & Minifigs. When someone brings in a used LEGO set that can be certified, a Bricks & Minifigs employee goes through the set piece by piece to ensure that all of the elements are there. Once all the pieces have been verified, they are bagged, sealed, and put back in the box, alongside the instructions.

These sets are given a stamp or sticker of approval, indicating that all of the pieces are included, in good condition, and found within the box. In a sense, it’s like getting a brand new set, just one that’s been pre-loved and sometimes even retired for years!

A prebuilt set is also one that has been sold to one of our stores, but these are sold to us already assembled. Unlike certified sets, we don’t require these to have the original instructions or even all the minifigs.

If you’ve been to a Bricks & Minifigs, then you’ve likely seen a shelf full of different LEGO builds, including some you haven’t seen for years. These prebuilt sets are one of the highligths of a BAM® store. Not only are they a fun browsing experience, but they’re right there, ready for you to take home!

Many people find it fun to disassemble it on their own and then build it again. It’s a brilliant way to get the LEGO building experience, often at a reduced price.
