Just a reminder that we are closed today to give everyone a little bit of a break here at the end of the year. We`ll be open first thing tomorrow morning to start the New Year off right. We are going to be closed for inventory today, and will also be closed tomorrow to give the team a chance to get some rest (we got Parker a Nintendo Switch for Xmas, so he hasn`t slept in days). Don`t worry, we`ll be back open on January 1st to start the year off! We hope you all have a great New Years Eve, and we look forward to seeing you next year.

We have some figure refills going out here as Sunday starts off. Lots of new cute little animals (and a T-Rex, which is neither little or cute, but still amazing!), plenty of series figures, and a much needed refill to our Ninjago figure section.

We are currently looking to expand our team here at the Carol Stream IL location. Right now we have one opening for a part time weekend associate.
Bricks & Minifigs is first and foremost a fun place for people of all ages to enjoy and explore their passion for LEGO. We facilitate this by providing excellent customer service and expert LEGO knowledge for all ages and abilities.
Each Bricks & Minifigs location is locally owned, and part of a nationwide franchise, headquartered in Orem, UT. We are a buy, sell trade store that encourages customers to reuse, rebuild and reimagine with LEGO elements.
Store Associate Responsibility
• Create an atmosphere that balances a casual/friendly feel with professionalism.
• Help customers aged children to adult learn their way around the store, and show them things they may be interested in.
• Make sure the environment is clean, safe, and welcoming.
Most of your day will entail:
• Building and repairing used sets;
• Breaking down and certifying sets;
• Sorting and cleaning bulk LEGO;
• Organizing and stocking minifigures and sets (new and used);
• Greeting customers when they enter the store;
• Helping customers at checkout;
• The job requires standing throughout the day with some lifting of heavy containers upwards of 50 pounds.
Requirements
• A background in customer service is preferred, and you need to know how to work and relate well with people.
• Knowledge of the LEGO from past to present day.
• Knowledge of pop culture is necessary. Do you know all the Ninja Turtles? Have you seen all the Marvel movies? Are you fluent in Star Wars? These are just some of the things that relate directly to our day to day work, and are indispensable.
• Intermediate LEGO building skills
• Able to work independently on always changing projects.
• An ability to work on weekends and on any holidays the store is open.
Compensation and shifts
• Saturday 10A-4P & Sunday 10A-4P. Starting pay will be $15.00/hour. Additional shifts are also available during the week if more hours are desired.

Looking to bring in a set or collection to trade? Here are our buying policies:
Our prices offered, as well as the quantity purchased (which could
be all to none) are based on many factors including the condition
or quantity of products brought in as well as how much stock we
currently have.
New in box items must be retired before we will handle them. We will not handle anything currently available from LEGO.com.
Used sets should be brought in assembled with all their parts, minifigures, and original instructions.
Bulk LEGO® is based on the volume and quality of the brick brought in.
The more LEGO brand bricks, minifigs, and specialty pieces there are
the more we pay.
You must be 18 or older to trade or sell any product. No cash or trade
will occur unless accompanied by an adult.
We can only give a quote for items that we can see. We are not able
to give hypothetical quotes on items that we can’t see. Items must be
brought in for a quote.

Is this the same store that used to be in Wheaton?
Absolutely, we just moved across the street into Carol Stream IL. We are now located in the strip mall in between GNC Nutrition and Lou Malnati’s Pizza. Same great store, just a different address.
How do I find out what is new in the store?
Follow us on either Facebook or Instagram. We post daily, with things like new sets, minifigures, used sets that have come in on trade, or whole new products! There’s always something going on here at the store.
Can you hold an item for me?
We do not do holds, everything we do is always first come, first serve in person.
Who makes the “Daily Humor”?
The Daily Humor is our daily joke or pun to help you start the morning off with a smile, and it’s published everyday at 7 AM on our Facebook and Instagram. We create that right here in the store, and the jokes come from us or from funny puns our customers send us.
