About Bricks & Minifigs San Ramon

Bricks and Minifigs San Ramon is locally owned and operated by Mike and Michelle Wu since April 2023. Mike brings with him an astounding wealth of experience from his nearly 30-year tenure in the software technology sector. He co-founded Visual Supply Company (@VSCO), a game-changer in the photo editing and community app space. Under his guidance as CTO, VSCO achieved phenomenal success, culminating in tens of millions of downloads and processing over a million photo uploads daily. Following his tenure at VSCO, Mike’s passion for education and technology led him to Seesaw Learning, an ed-tech platform for K-12, where he played a crucial role in expanding their engineering team. His most recent position at Handshake saw him leading software initiatives for their early talent digital recruitment platform, widely used across the U.S. by college students and alumni.

Mike’s passion for LEGO® began as a young child especially with the Classic Space themed sets. Some of his current favorites include the Brown Astronaut minifigure with Space Baby, and the LORD OF THE RINGS™ Rivendell set. He holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and a M.Eng. degree from Cornell University. He and Michelle met at UIUC during their freshman year while living in the same dormitory. Shortly after graduating from UIUC with a B.S. degree in Psychology, Michelle became a registered nurse and received M.S. and doctoral degrees in the public health sciences.   When not at the store, she currently spends her time as a personal trainer at ClubSport San Ramon. Mike also currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Bricks & Minifigs Franchising, and the franchise currently has 200+ stores throughout North America and growing every day!

Their daughter Mercy grew up with an early passion for building all kinds of LEGO® sets and was an inspiration to introduce a creator space for the community. Their son Myles enjoys collecting a wide range of minifigs and building his expansive Harry Potter LEGO® collection.

Bricks and Minifigs San Ramon is extremely blessed and powered by the multi-tasking skills and talents of BAMily members Alex, Dawud, Joshua, Justin, Teo, and Tyler. The store wouldn’t be as amazing and wonderful as it is without each of them!
