Complete Pre-Built Sets

We consider a set “complete” when:

• All original minifigures are included (if the set came with minifigures)

• Major builds and side builds are present

Missing a small piece or a minor accessory is usually okay. Offers may be adjusted based on completeness and overall condition.

As-Is / Project Sets

These are sets that:

• Are missing most or all minifigures

• Are partially built

• Are incomplete beyond minor missing pieces

As-Is / Project Sets are eligible for store credit only.

Bulk LEGO®

We purchase and sell bulk by volume, not by weight.

Kansas law requires businesses selling goods by weight to use a certified and inspected commercial scale. To remain compliant, we transact bulk by volume instead.

We categorize bulk into three general levels:

Premium Bulk

• Sorted by color or category

• Includes higher-value elements such as minifigures, roller coaster track, large plates, architectural panels, LEGO® Bionicle® parts, etc.

Premium Bulk is priced at a higher rate.

Ready-to-Sell Bulk

• Relatively clean

• No non-LEGO blocks

• No foreign objects (common examples include Nerf darts, Hot Wheels cars, or other toys)

Needs-Work Bulk

• Visibly dirty

• Has an unpleasant odor

• Contains non-LEGO items or debris

Needs-Work Bulk will be priced accordingly based on the labor required to process it.

Minifigures

Bricks & Minifigs ission evaluates each minifigure individually.

We determine value by:

• Reviewing multiple reputable resale marketplaces

• Comparing against our current in-store pricing

• Referencing valuation data from over 200 Bricks & Minifigs locations

Each minifigure is checked for completeness, cleanliness, and damage.

If any minifigures are damaged, we will review them with you before finalizing an offer.

Retired New-In-Box Sets

Retired sets are evaluated to confirm they are factory sealed and unopened.

• Missing or tampered seals are treated as open box, even if internal bags are still sealed

• Boxes with excessive wear, damage, or strong smoke odor may receive a lower offer

Condition directly impacts value.

Current New-In-Box Sets

For protection against the purchase of unlawfully obtained sets, we define a “current” set as any set still available for sale on LEGO.com.

For current sets:

• An unexpired government ID is required

• Proof of purchase is required for each set

• Purchases are store credit only

• All offers are at the owner’s discretion

Q. Can you tell me how much my LEGO® is worth over phone or email?

A. If time permits we may be able to provide you a spot quote for one or two items over the phone. If you have multiple items, or we are busy assisting customers in the store we will direct you to email us at mission.ks@bricksandminifigs.com.

Q. Do you buy bulk?

A. We purchase bulk LEGO®. Bulk LEGO is priced by the volume, not the weight. Due to inventory levels we only offer store credit on CLEAN bulk.

Q. Do you buy used LEGO sets?

A. We purchase used LEGO® sets and minifigures. Used sets should come in fully built and complete with minifigures and sidebuilds. Partial sets, sets missing specific or all minifigures, or sets that come in as unbuilt will be priced lower.

Q. My LEGO set is partially built, will you buy it?

A. Due to inventory levels, any partially built LEGO sets will only be purchased for store credit.

Q. Do you buy minifigs?

A. We buy minifigs! Each minifig will be assessed for correctness, completeness, quality, and cleanliness. Minifigs that are missing pieces, mismatched, or damaged will be given a lower offer. We thoroughly examine each minifig to make sure arms and torsos are not cracked or damaged, the pieces for the minifig all match (head, torso, arms, hands, legs, hair/hat/helmet, capes and accessories, etc..).

Q. Why do want LEGO® sets to be built?

A. When a set is brought in completely built, that gives us a quick way to identify it, evaluate its completeness, and assess the quality and condition of the LEGO® pieces. If some small details are missing that is ok. If the LEGO® set is missing large portions, or special/unique parts, it will be considered a partial build and our offer will be for store credit only. 

Q. How much can I get for my LEGO?

A. Our offers are based on a number of factors.

• Cleanliness – If your built LEGO® sets, minifigs, or bulk is dirty we will need to clean it before we can put it on the sales floor. Our offer will be lower if we have to put work into getting it ready to resell.
• Completeness – LEGO® sets and minifigures assessed to be incomplete will be given a lower offer than complete sets and minifigures.
• Quality – LEGO® that is sun damaged, cracked, or shows signs of excessive wear and tear will lower our offer.
• Desirability: some LEGO® themes and minifigures are more popular than others. Popular themes and minifigures command a market premium, and our offers reflect that.
• Market conditions/inventory levele: we use a variety of external and internal references to establish a fair market value for the LEGO® and minifigures you bring to us. 

Q. Do you buy retired new in box / sealed LEGO sets?

A. We buy retired new in box and sealed LEGO® sets. When you bring in your retired new in box LEGO® sets we will do a quick examination to ensure that all LEGO® factory seals are complete and have not been tampered with. We will only make offers based on new prices if we are absolutely certain that the box has never been opened.

Q. Do you buy current new in box / sealed LEGO sets?

A. We will only buy current new in box LEGO sets if you have irrefutable proof of purchase / ownership. Offers for current new in box sets are completely at the owner’s discretion. Generally speaking: no proof of ownership = no purchase offer. Current LEGO® sets will only be purchased for store credit.
