PIE DAY COMMUNITY BUILD REQUIREMENTS

  • Brick-built using LEGO elements
  • Sturdy enough to be able to be moved around a few times without falling apart
  • Fit within a 32 x 32 stud baseplate (appx 10in x 10in)

Junior Baker Ideas (12 or under)

Make something fun and visual, sweet or silly! Some idea prompts to help you:

  • Build your favorite kind of pie (apple, cherry, pizza…)
  • Design a pie eating contest
  • Brick built number 3.14
  • Make a math superhero whose power is Pi
  • Create a circular playground or spinning ride
  • Make something prefectly round
  • Your own interpretation of Pi/Pie day!

Teen Baker Ideas (13-17)

Let’s see some clever interpretaiton and technique! Here are some ideas to get your creative juices flowing:

  • Pie cross-section with layers and delicous detail
  • Pie factory assembly line
  • Brick built cooking showdown
  • Visualize pi in a creative way
  • Build something scientific that demonstrates circumference and diameter
  • Sci-Fi machine powered by Pi
  • Make it round! A ferris wheel, planet, rotating mech.. go wild!
  • Something that incorporates 3.14 somewhere hidden or hard to see
  • Or your own interpretation!

Master Builders (18+)

Get conceptual or technical!

  • Elevated Culinary: bakery diorama, super realisitc pie slice with nice parts use
  • Show us Pi’s infinite chaos or order
  • Fractal or math art
  • Encode 3.1415926 into your build
  • Circular SNOT!

KEY DATES:

  • Drop-off Window: Thursday & Friday March 12-13
  • Voting & Display: Saturday, March 14th
  • Winners Announced: End of Day Mach 14th (you do not need to be present!)
  • Entreies must be picked up by March 21.

PUBLIC SHOWCASE:

  • All entries: March 14th
  • Winners or anyone that wants to stay on display can keep their entries in our display cases until the end of March.

Bricks & Minifigs Mission MOC Contest Terms & Conditions

  1. Eligibility
    • Contest is open to LEGO® builders of all ages.
    • Entries must be original creations (MOCs – My Own Creations) built primarily from LEGO elements.
    • Employees of Bricks & Minifigs Mission may participate but are not eligible for prizes.
  2. Entry Limits
    • Each builder may submit one (1) entry as an individual.
    • Builders may submit a second entry only if participating as part of a group build (solo + group).
    • Group entries must register in the age category of the oldest builder on the team.
  3. Prize Categories
    • Junior Builders: ages 12 and under
    • Teen Builders: ages 13–17
    • Master Builders: ages 18+
    • People’s Choice: open category, any age, chosen by public vote
    • Note: Dependnig on number of submissions for each age category, BAM Mission reserves the right to adjust age ranges on categories.
  4. Theme & Submission Dates
    • Submissions must match the announced theme.
    • Entries must be delivered to during the posted deliery window to be eligible for prizes.
    • All entries will be displayed in-store during the designated day.
    • All entries must have an online or paper registration to verify eligibility and ownership.
  5. Prizes
    • One winner in each age category will receive $25 in Bricks & Minifigs Mission store credit.
    • Winners may be invited to have their builds displayed in the front-of-store display cases.
  6. Judging & People’s Choice
    • Category winners are selected by Bricks & Minifigs Mission staff based on creativity, build quality, and adherence to the theme.
    • People’s Choice winner will be determined by in-store customer voting during the display period. To keep things fair for public voting, we ask that each family vote only once for the People’s Choice award.
  7. General Rules
    • All entries must be family-friendly.
    • Creations must remain on display until the conclusion of the contest unless otherwise approved.
    • By entering, participants grant Bricks & Minifigs Mission permission to photograph and share their builds for promotional purposes.
