Stop Motion Animation Workshop: December 28, 29, 30

Create Your Own Stop Motion Animation at Bricks & Minifigs Mission

Join us for a hands-on workshop led by Brick Specialist Ethan. Along with being one of our go-to builders, he also studies animation at the Kansas City Art Institute, so you’ll be learning from someone who truly knows the craft.

Workshop Schedule

Part One: Sunday, 12/28 – 12 to 5 pm

Build your set and get comfortable with the Stop Motion Studio app.

Part Two: Monday & Tuesday, 12/29–12/30 – 3 to 6 pm

Bring your scenes to life during guided animation studio time.

We’ll wrap up Tuesday with a short showcase so parents and loved ones can see everyone’s creations.

Cost

• $35 per participant
• Includes one new BAM 10×10 inch baseplate (32×32 studs) in your chosen color and one large bulk tub (or equivalent) to kickstart your set building.

What to Bring

A mobile device (phone or tablet) with the Stop Motion Studio app installed. Both the free and paid versions work great for this workshop.
