Q. Can you tell me how much my LEGO is worth over phone or email?
A. We typically do not offer appraisals or estimates over phone or email. Our offers depend on us being able to physically see and evaluate the LEGO you want to sell to us, for this reason we cannot offer any price estimates over phone or email. The only exception to this is if you are wanting to sell us a very large collection or a very large LEGO set (UCS Millennium Falcon, etc.) then we will work with you on an individual basis.
Q. Why was your offer lower than what online marketplaces sell the same thing for?
A. Our offer reflects the fact that as a locally owned brick-and-mortar business that has expenses to cover. When you sell to Bricks & Minifigs Mission, we can give you cash or store credit on the spot – saving you the time and hassle of having to box up and ship something, or meet someone in a sketchy parking lot.
Q. Do you buy bulk?
A. We purchase bulk LEGO®. Bulk LEGO is priced by the volume, not the weight.
Q. Do you buy used LEGO sets?
A. We purchase used LEGO sets and minifigures. Used sets should come in fully built – if the used LEGO set is disassembled or partially built, we will price it as bulk LEGO. To get the best value for your LEGO, bring it in built!
Q. Do you buy used minifigs?
A. We purchase used minifigs. Each minifig will be assessed for correctness, completeness, quality, and cleanliness. Minifigs that are missing pieces, mismatched, or damaged will be given a lower offer. We thoroughly examine each minifig to make sure arms and torsos are not cracked or damaged, the pieces for the minifig all match (head, torso, arms, hands, legs, hair/hat/helmet, capes and accessories, etc..).
Q. Why do want LEGO sets to be built?
A. When a set is brought in completely built, that gives us a quick way to identify it, evaluate its completeness, and assess the quality and condition of the LEGO pieces. If some small details are missing that is ok. If large sections or unique parts are missing, we may not be able to offer you as much money.
Q. How much can I get for my LEGO?
A. Our offers are based on a number of factors.
- Cleanliness – If your built LEGO sets, minifigs, or bulk is dirty we will need to clean it before we can put it on the sales floor. Our offer will be lower if we have to put work into getting it ready to resell.
- Completeness – LEGO sets and minifigures assessed to be incomplete will be given a lower offer than complete sets and minifigures.
- Quality – LEGO that is sun damaged, cracked, shows signs of excessive wear and tear will lower our offer.
- Desirability – some LEGO themes and minifigures are more popular than others. Popular themes and minifigures command a market premium, and our offers reflect that.
- Market conditions – we use a variety of external and internal references to establish a fair market value for the LEGO and minifigures you bring to us.
Q. Do you buy retired new in box / sealed LEGO sets?
A. We buy retired new in box and sealed LEGO sets. When you bring in your retired new in box LEGO sets we will do a quick examination to ensure that all LEGO factory seals are complete and have not been tampered with. We will only make offers based on new prices if we are absolutely certain that the box has never been opened.
Q. Do you buy current new in box / sealed LEGO sets?
A. We will only buy current new in box sets under very specific circumstances. If you have a current new in box set you wish to sell please call us at 913-634-9488 before bringing it in. All purchases of current new in box LEGO sets must have irrefutable proof of purchase / ownership. Offers for current new in box sets are completely at the owner’s discretion.
