Who We Are
Our journey began in Houston, a city we’re proud to call home. James, a native Houstonian and University of Texas graduate, and Krystal, who moved here from Southern California to study at the University of Houston’s renowned hospitality college, found each other in 2016. Their connection was built on a shared love of travel and food, a foundation that grew even stronger as they started their family.
As residents of Shepard Park Plaza, we’ve fallen in love with the Greater Heights community. We’re inspired by its unique local culture and are thrilled to contribute to it directly.
With two children now, we’ve reignited our childhood love for LEGO®. Our 7-year-old son, PJ, is a testament to the magic of building, regularly “borrowing” and completing our most intricate sets in a single sitting. Inspired by his passion, we’re thrilled to create a space where families can build, learn, and connect.
At Bricks & Minifigs™ Greater Heights, we’re not just opening a store—we’re building a dream. This is the culmination of a lifelong passion for business ownership and a desire to create something truly impactful in our community. We saw a need for creative and engaging places to celebrate, and we believe our store is the perfect solution.
