Kurt’s love for Lego began in childhood, building classic castle and space themed sets during the 80’s. After moving to Gainesville in 2000, he went on to start a family and to obtain his RN degree at Santa Fe College. His Lego passion was rekindled after buying his 2 sons a bin of used lego on Craigslist. Since then Kurt’s Lego love has grown by leaps and bounds, leading him to something previously unimagined, bringing a Bricks and MInifigs to the Gainesville community. Equal to his passion for Lego is his passion for his career at Shands Childrens Hospital where he works as the Pediatric Nurse Specialist for Burns, Tracheostomies, and Gastrostomies(hence the profile pic). There he enjoys sharing his enthusiasm for Lego with his patients, their families, and his co-workers.

A lifelong LEGO enthusiast and collector, Stephen serves as Store Manager at Bricks & Minifigs, where he combines his passion for building with a commitment to community. He values LEGO’s unique ability to inspire creativity, spark nostalgia, and connect people across generations. Whether helping longtime fans rediscover favorite sets or welcoming new builders to the hobby, Stephen enjoys creating a positive and inclusive experience for all. He is especially appreciative of the supportive local LEGO community and is dedicated to making the store a welcoming place for builders of every age and background.
