March’s Buildspiration: 1 Brick Type Challenge

Each month, we’re giving you a creative prompt to spark imagination and inspire building. Take the idea below and build it however you’d like—there’s no right or wrong way! When you’re done, snap a photo and send it to us. We’ll feature builds on our website and choose one to spotlight in next month’s newsletter. You might see your creation featured!

Submissions can be by any age or a group of builders. Submit your build by visiting our website or using the button below.

Here’s this month’s inspiration:
Building with only one type of brick turns the challenge into a creative puzzle, and that’s exactly what makes it fun. When you limit yourself to a single piece, like only 2×4 bricks, only slopes, or only tiles, you start to see shapes and possibilities you might normally overlook. Suddenly, a stack of identical pieces can become a creature, a tower, a vehicle, or an abstract sculpture. It pushes you to experiment with angles, patterns, and clever connections, and the final build always feels extra satisfying because you made so much out of so little. This is the kind of constraint that sparks imagination in the best way.

So, show us your single brick builds! You can use a single color of or mix it up and use multiple colors as long as it is all the same brick type.
