Competition Rules and Registration links
- Bag Build (Ages 5-9)
- Kids will attempt to build a polybag within a Ziplock bag without opening it. First one completed wins the prize.
- All kids get to keep the contest polybag a participation prize.

- 1-Handed Build (Ages 10-15)
- Kids will receive 1 pre-opened LEGO® creator kit to build
- Participants must only use 1 hand to build the kit
- Participants may NOT switch hands during the process and must keep their non-active hand behind their back
- First to complete their build or come the furthest (according to our judge(s)) wins
- All participants keep their creator set; winner also receives $15 in BAM Bucks to be spent at the Crest Hill location

- Kids Derby (Ages 6-12)
- Participants will be given 20 minutes to build their derby cars from scratch using the parts in our bulk table
- Participants MUST build their car on their own without the help of others.
- Participants will then compete in 3 randomly chosen heats to determine heat leaders; those 3 winners will then race an additional heat to determine the #1 spot.
- Top 3 winners (final heat) will receive a Brick Derby chassis as well as $10, $15, or $20 in BAM Bucks, respectively per final position.

- Teen Derby (Ages 13-18)
- Participants will be given 20 minutes to build their derby cars from scratch using the parts in our bulk table
- Participants MUST build their car on their own without the help of others.
- Participants will then compete in 3 randomly chosen heats to determine heat leaders; those 3 winners will then race an additional heat to determine the #1 spot.
- Top 3 winners (final heat) will receive a Brick Derby chassis as well as a small, medium, or large bulk bag, respectively per final position.

- Couples Build Challenge
- Romantically involved couples will register themselves to participate
- Teams will choose 1 member to read the instruction manual to their partner (either turned around or behind a curtain TBD) as to NOT see what their partner is building
- The other member will need to listen to their partner for directions in how to build the set in hand.
- Communication skills are KEY
- Only 4 teams will participate in this competition
- Winner is determined by who finished correctly first, or who came the closest to getting the majority of it done correctly (as chosen by our judges)
- Winning team will receive a VIP Brickworld package for 2, including
- 2 5-Day Passes to Brickworld Chicago (Held June 17-21, 2026) at the Schaumburg Convention Center
- $100 in BAM Bucks, to be spent anytime at Crest Hill Bricks & Minifigs
- Early entry and Front Row tickets to the “Illegal Building Techniques” Improvised comedy show Saturday Night w/ special meet and greet with the cast
- Early Soundcheck Access to The Fold concert (if performed) with special meet & greet with the band
- Free band CD of your choice
- 2 Signed Band Shirts of your choice
