Now on display at Bricks & Minifigs Colorado Springs South: a detailed LEGO replica of Glen Eyrie Castle, built by the Denver LEGO User Group.
The original Glen Eyrie was created in 1871 by General William Jackson Palmer, Civil War veteran and founder of Colorado Springs, as a home for his wife Mary “Queen” Mellen Palmer. It later transformed into a grand English Tudor-style castle and became a major social and cultural hub of the region.
In 1953, the Christian organization The Navigators purchased Glen Eyrie, restoring the castle and preserving its architecture and natural surroundings. Today, it operates as a conference center, retreat venue, and historic landmark, open for tours, tea, retreats, and special events. Nestled in a dramatic canyon of red rock formations and wildlife, it remains one of the most iconic properties in Colorado Springs.
