BAM™ Family History
Bricks & Minifigs (BAM™) started as a dream in 2003 when David Ortiz wanted to find a way to let people buy, sell, and trade LEGO® items while still having plenty of time to dedicate to their families. In 2009, he met John Masek—who had spent most of his life working in and running stores for some of the largest names in retail—as they both pursued the same large LEGO® collection.
It didn’t take long to see how David’s knowledge and John’s retail experience—alongside their mutual enthusiasm for LEGO® sets—could combine in a business venture that would end up reaping success for them and other franchise owners down the road. That was the beginning of the journey for BAM™
BAM™ began franchising in 2011, and by 2018, it had over 41 stores in operation. Currently, BAM™ has over 170 franchises in the US and Canada.
From used and retired sets to brand-new sets, BAM™ offers a wide, ever-changing selection of LEGO® products. You can join the BAM™ fam by buying, selling, or trading any LEGO® bricks or minifigures. BAM™ offers birthday parties and other activities for everyone.
