SUMMARY:Adventure Camp
DESCRIPTION:Adventure Camp features mazes\, races\, and guessing games! \nYoung Engineers is proud to offer five summer STEM camps this year\, all with unique programming so your young builders can enjoy each week this summer with different builds and themes. The mornings begin with an ice breaker activity\, followed by an arts and crafts activity introducing the theme of the day – amusement parks\, for example\, or water or air during Science camp. After lunch\, we have an STEM-based engineering lesson or demonstration followed by an exclusive LEGO® build to bring our theme to life. The day closes after campers play with and modify their builds\, and then we clean up and dismiss. Camps are 5 days\, 5 hours per day. Campers MUST have completed Kindergarten and be on their way to 1st grade-5th grade. (6-11) Campers receive a water bottle and flashlight and other goodies\, with a chance to win a grand prize the end of camp! \nCall (720) 550-8922 or visit https://littletoncolorado.e2youngengineers.com/enrolment/ to register!

SUMMARY:Bricks Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The Bricks Challenge Program\n \n\nUsing stories and simple demonstrations to spark imagination and critical thinking\, Bricks Challenge is Young Engineers’ most popular enrichment program. With the use of LEGO® building blocks in conjunction with other tools and mechanical parts\, specially trained educators inspire youth participants while teaching theoretical and applied principles of science\, technology\, mechanical engineering and math (STEM). In addition\, students develop their abilities for independent learning and improve their building skills. \n\nYoung Engineers participating in the Bricks Challenge can expect to finish the program having learned important theoretical and practical lessons. The Bricks Challenge will introduce students to scientists and inventors such as Leonardo da Vinci\, Sir Isaac Newton\, Archimedes and more. \nBricks Challenge participants will gain knowledge of laws of physics such as centrifugal force\, centripetal force\, force of inertia\, kinetic energy\, potential energy\, law of action-reaction\, lift force\, torque\, leverage points\, load distribution\, force conservation\, angular momentum\, and more. In addition\, students will learn the essential mathematic skills that go along with making the scientific calculations they will need in order to build their models. \nSecondary objectives of the Bricks Challenge Program are to:\n\nFoster planning and time management skills\nEncourage independent creative thinking\nDevelop the ability to analyze engineering processes\nBroaden knowledge of laws of physics and various natural phenomena\nImprove spatial recognition\nCultivate a sense of self-efficacy\nExpand interpersonal communication skills\n\nThis program is offered for 1st – 5th graders on Tuesdays from 4:30-5:45pm in the Bricks & Minifigs Littleton party room.\nCost:\n\n$229 for a full semester\n$89 for a one-month period\n$29 for a one-day drop-in class\n\nSign up information:\nEmail: YoungEngineersLittletonCO@gmail.com \nPhone: Call Nicole or Jay at 720-550-8922!
