<\/span>We will be using LEGO SPIKE curriculum and campers will be learning to code in order to create movement within their builds.<\/p>\n

This unit introduces your students to computational thinking. They’ll begin to understand what a sequence is, be able to follow instructions to create a sequence, and describe the sequence to their peers. They’ll learn how to break problems down into smaller parts, identify cause and effect, and understand simple loops. Finally, they’ll explore the process of testing and debugging programs to ensure that their programs work as intended.<\/span><\/p>\n

They’ll explore ways of using observation skills as they anticipate the outcomes of changes in energy during a collision, describe the relationship between energy and speed, and predict how energy moves from place to place. They’ll also broaden their understanding of energy conversion (potential and kinetic) by investigating a solution that converts energy from one form to another, testing the solution to improve and refine its function.<\/p>\n

      Your students will improve their communication skills as they engage in a range of collaborative discussions about energy, energy transfer, and collision.<\/p>\n

        If you\u2019re on the hunt for something fun and productive for your kids to do, let them learn the basics of camera set up, artistic framing, beginner stop motion animation software, and minifig animation. Watch them on their journey to become a stop motion animation pro!<\/p>\n

        Each camp has four two-hour classes with creative brick based storytelling and filming.<\/p>\n

        Every student will receive a phone stand, movie making starter kit, the Secrets of
        Animation workbook, and a foundation to continue creating their own stop motion films at home.<\/p>\n

        *Each student must supply their own smartphone or tablet.<\/p>\n
